Service Description

**Tailored for Ages 9-12, this is a 5-week pilot workshop with single day drop ins available** The pilot runs Feb 2-March 8th. We are hoping to spin this into a recurring Friday night event. Seats are limited to 12 tickets per night. We hope you'll be part of the founding crew. Ticket sales help us purchase the NES game boxes and screens, donations are always welcome, too. Premise: Discover how a simple game box from the '80s and '90s rose to fame and continues to shape pop culture even four decades later. Course Highlights: 🕹️ Gaming Time: Immerse yourself in the world of classic NES games with hands-on gaming sessions. 🧠 Anthropological Deep Dive: Explore the chemical impact on our brains as we play, unravel the cultural influence of NES on society, and delve into its rich historical relevance. 🌐 Explore the recurrence of symbols and icons in NES games across various versions. Gain insights into the profound impact these elements have on shaping our understanding of gaming culture. As a fun project, we'll leverage these insights to craft our own NES 'zine, sharing cheats and hints—just like the good old days when we exchanged secrets in our Trapper Keepers. 🍕 Friday Night Treat: Enjoy a slice of the action with complimentary pizza and beverages provided every Friday night! -----We offer two convenient ways for families to sign up----- --Individual Class Sign-Up ($65 per class): Reserve any Friday within the 5-week period based on availability. No discount on a 5-week session for individual sign-ups. Choice of seats is subject to availability after all 5-week passes are allocated. -- 5-Week Session Sign-Up (Discounted Rate, $275): Enjoy a discounted rate by making a commitment to the full 5-weeks. Automatically reserve a seat every Friday for the entire 5-week period. You'll get guaranteed seating, whether you choose to attend every week or not. As a bonus, we'll also include Friday Feb 23rd (ski week) in case you are in town. This card cannot be prorated, but if you want to guarantee your seat each week, this is the way to go even if there are fewer than 5 weeks remaining at time of purchase. Please note that any unused classes after the 5 weeks are forfeited—a use-it-or-lose-it pass policy applies. Choose the option that best suits your preferences and let's get our game on!!!

Cancellation Policy

General Classes and Special Workshops Please choose your seats thoughtfully. Once you have reserved a seat at our ART table, we begin preparing for your arrival! A reserved seat at our table is yours whether you choose to attend class or not. This includes all scenarios, even sickness, travel, or change of plans. Once you have reserved your seat, our work behind the scenes begins. We start preparing for your arrival and a seat at our table is exclusively reserved. In order for us to maintain our great programs and run our small business, ARTifact cannot issue full refunds, transfers, credits, or prorates of any kind. A 50% refund will be issued if a seat is canceled 30 days before the start of a workshop/holiday camp/class or semester. At our discretion, we will transfer a seat from one workshop to another if it is like-for-like, of equal or lesser value. Charitable workshops and fundraising events are NOT refundable. There are no full refunds, transfers, or credits of any kind. Sorry, no exceptions. ​ ---SUMMER 2024--- ARTifact was built on the foundation of a high quality education program where the safety and care of children is paramount. We know you might need time to plan your Summer. We have expanded our refund policy to give families as much time as possible to consider their options. - If you decide to cancel your seat within the first 24 hours of registering, we will refund your tuition in full minus any processing chargeback fees. -After 24-hours of registering, a non-refundable $170/per child/per camp fee will be deducted from all tuitions. -Camp tuition is 100% refundable, minus the $170 per camp fee, for all camps canceled before May 1st -Camp tuition is 50% refundable, minus the initial $170 per camp fee, if canceled May 2nd-May 14th -Camp tuition is nonrefundable if canceled after May 15th. **It is always FREE to change like-for-like, from one camp to another (if there is availability).
